If you have livestock and are interested in showing in the 4-H livestock shows, please contact the 4-H office at 627-3675. 2019 Central District Livestock Show Jan. 30th Grant Parish Show and January 31st- _February 1, 2020 final showing and auction.
The 2020 validation fee is $5.00 per validation. Exhibitors showing market, and commercial sheep, goats, dairy, or beef. Kits for tags will be taken at the meeting. Return kits to the 4-H Office by November 1th. No grace period. Exhibitors showing market or commercial hogs may pick up their validation kits after November 15th. Possession date/Validation date is Dec.4, 2019. Return kits to the 4-H office by December 2nd .no later.

If you like the outdoors and want to learn about firearm safety and improve your marksmanship while competing against other 4-H’ers, you need to join the 4-H Shooting Sports Team. Here you will participate in workshops and contests related to archery, rifle, shotgun. Practice dates are usually every Sunday from 2-4 at Camp Grant Walker and start dates will be announced at a later date. Like our Grant Parish Shooting Sports page on FB for information. You must be signed up for 4-H. We need adult Volunteers for coaches to be trained.

Place: Camp Grant Walker
Concession will be open. $1.00 per item. Come Dresses as your favorite Hero or Villain, No face masks.
We will be offering a new program this year.
After school program. 5:30pm – 6:30 pm
Dates: Oct.1, Dec 3rd, Feb 4th and April 7th. Cost $5.00 per session.
Grant 4-H Office. Please pre-register at 318-627-3675 at least a day before each class.
4-Her’s will learn how to cook healthy recipes and experience some form of physical activity.

Join us for Jr. Leaders this year. We hold monthly meetings and volunteer for many activities in our community. Lots of fun for teens.

Would you like to help younger 4-H members to have some of the same opportunities that you have had in 4-H club work? Would you like to be a leader in your community while making new friends? Are you interested in 4-H trips, awards, and scholarships?You can develop your abilities to plan, to organize, and to reason while you become better acquainted with the entire 4-H Club program!Any 4-H member who is in 8th – 12th grade is eligible to join! Must be 13 yrs. old as of January 1, 2020. All it takes is your enrollment and involvement in the Junior Leadership Program.
Junior leaders meet once a month at the 4-H Office in Colfax on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. This is a GREAT opportunity and club for junior and high school students. Junior Leaders get to attend 4-H University (which is held on LSU campus for 4 days), attend Junior Leader Retreat, and train to be a camp counselor for younger 4-H’ers, and attend the end of the year JL TRIP.
Yearly Fee: $20.00. If you are interested in joining the Junior Leadership Program, please call the 4-H Office at 318-627-3675 or at your school club meeting.
