Regional Food Challenge- March 10th, 2026
The Louisiana 4-H Food Challenge competition challenges teams of 4-H members to create a dish using only a key ingredient and access to a “grocery store” of other ingredients. From the ingredients, team members are challenged to create a healthy dish while practicing proper food safety, preparation, and communication skills. Following the dish preparation, teams present to a panel of judges who will further test their culinary and nutrition knowledge with a question-and-answer segment.
Regional Contest Date & Location: Tuesday, March 10, 2026 - 4-H Mini Farm (LSU Campus - Baton Rouge)
The top three teams in each division will advance to the state competition that will take place Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in Alexandria LA
Age Divisions:
Junior Leaders- A club that meets monthly during the school year at our local libraries. All members in grades 7th-12th are eligible to join. Participants will gain leadership skills, network with their peers, and mentor younger members. The Jr. Leaders have selected food insecurity and community service as their focus for this club year. Service opportunities are abundant and will include the parish fair, food bank, school events, and more. Stay connected with your peers and lead by example!
