- C.H.E.F. Camp 2024 - East Baton Rouge Parish
Calling all young chefs! LSU AgCenter and Southern University Ag Centers’ nutrition education programs (SNAP-Ed and EFNEP) are partnering together to bring the 2024 C.H.E.F. (Creating Healthy Enjoyable Foods) Camp to East Baton Rouge Parish. C.H.E.F. Camp is designed with youth in mind and encourages them to learn the importance of creating healthier meals and snacks while participating in fun, hands-on cooking experiences. Youth learn how to prepare quick and easy, healthful foods that are focused on dietary guidelines and MyPlate recommendations. The C.H.E.F. Camp curriculum consists of nutrition education lessons, physical activity, food safety, hands-on basic cooking skills, and home gardening techniques.
