Description of Role

Primary work will take place at the West Baton Rouge AgCenter Extension Office. Secondary locations may take place in other parish and AgCenter facilities such as WBR community centers, 4-H Camp Grant Walker, and LSU Campus.

List of Qualifications

  • Must provide own transportation.
  • Must be willing to attend some night, overnight, or weekend meetings/events.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours during day camps, 4-H Camp, 4-H University.
  • Must have good computer, organization, and people skills.
  • Must possess a high school diploma; completion of at least one year of post-secondary education preferred.

Primary Tasks, Duties, and/or Responsibilities

  • The individual will be expected to assist the 4-H Youth Development Agent and to cooperate with other office staff in the preparation and implementation of 4-H programs and activities.
  • Facilitate youth activities and oversea safety protocols.
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of a variety of overnight and day camps.
  • Assist with 4-H correspondence via email and phone.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

Success Measure or End of Project Deliverables

End of the year presentation to recap summer programming and evaluate experiences.
