The ASPIRE student intern will be responsible for responsible with collection of data on the industrial hemp varieties planted at research station in Louisiana.
The intern will be responsible for collecting the data on the planted industrial hemp grain and fiber lines at the central research station in Louisiana. The data collected will be plant height, stem width, canopy parameters during the vegetative stages of the plant. Days to flowering, and maturation will be recorded in the reproductive stage. After the data collection, the data will be analyzed using statistical methods and presented at S1084 Conference held annually for the participants. S1084 is Industrial hemp Production, Processing, and Marketing Multistate project. Dr. Jampala is the head for the project from the state of Louisiana.
Dr. Babitha Jampala, is state head for the S1084 Industrial Hemp Multistate Project and trains students both undergraduates and graduates in industrial hemp related projects.
