Ouachita HYPE

HYPE stands for Healthy Young People Empowerment and is a youth coalition for teens ages 13 to 18 who want to make a difference in their communities and learn about healthy lifestyles. HYPE members assess community needs and work on a project to promote healthy eating and/or physical activity. They also engage in community service. Interested teens should contact the Ouachita Parish Extension office of the LSU AgCenter at 318-323-2251.
