FRANKLIN, La. – The LSU AgCenter Healthy St. Mary Coalition and City of Franklin are hosting a community walk-a-long on Thursday, March 2nd from 1-3 pm. The group invites residents to join and give feedback on proposed improvements to pedestrian infrastructure in Franklin.

The walk will start at Franklin Post Office located at 420 Willow Street and end at Teche Action Clinic for a discussion. Participants will help evaluate whether the current walking conditions are safe, inviting and ADA accessible.

“Community input is important for sustainable change, so we are inviting all community members in the hopes of getting well-rounded feedback,” said Jessica Randazzo, LSU AgCenter nutrition agent for St. Mary Parish.
