Preheat oven to 400° F. Wash and slice tomatoes. Place slices on a baking tray that has been lined with parchment paper (or use foil sprayed with nonstick cooking spray). Sprinkle tomatoes with salt, pepper, and oregano to taste. Cover with mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle chopped basil on each tomato. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and light brown.
