Advisory Meeting: Beauregard Master Gardeners

Introduction: Advisory Meetings with stakeholders in the past have produced mixed results with respect to attendance. Finding an optimal date and time has been a difficult endeavor. The purpose of this advisory meeting is to meet with BMG members at their convenience to consult with them.

  1. Twelve members of the Beauregard Master Gardeners were in attendance.
  2. Keith Hawkins asked for this meeting with an objective:
    1. To consult with Members as advisory stakeholders.
  3. After Hawkins conveyed this objective, he asked the BMGs about what programming they would want from the AgCenter:
    1. Invite Ms. Denyse Cummins, retired AgCenter horticulturist, to talk about cut flowers.
    2. Programming about native plants.
    3. Invite Dr. Sara Shields to talk about landscape design.
    4. Programming about greenhouse management.
  4. The BMGs then resumed its agenda and adjourned at 11:30 am.
