Makes: 6 Servings
This classic chickpea dip is easy to make and a versatile dish. Serve hummus with fresh raw vegetables, on a piece of whole wheat pita bread or tortilla, chips, on crackers, or as a sandwich filling.
Ingredients
2 cups cooked chickpeas
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon sesame tahini or substitute peanut butter
1 tablespoon of cumin
Assorted Bell Peppers carved for serving.
Directions
1. Mash the chickpeas until smooth with a fork.
2. Add the lemon juice, peanut butter and cumin.
3. Mix well with fork.
4.Serve.
