The LSU Agricultural Center International Programs invites you to the Fall 2016 Global Agriculture Hour Series featuring:

Agriculture Sector Perspectives from Africa
Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. (CT) in room 212 Efferson Hall

Please join us for the first Global Agriculture Hour of the Fall 2016 semester. We will host 5 USDA Foreign Agricultural Service Cochran Fellows from Kenya, Tanzania and Senegal in an open forum discussion. The following agricultural experts will participate on the panel:

  • Oswald Murithi Miriti, Project Officer, Cereal Grower’s Association, Kenya
  • Jared Kiprotich Mutai, Deputy County Director of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries; Nandi County, Kenya
  • Simon Kamau Nguturi, Operations Manager, National Cereals and Produce Board, Kenya
  • Ikunda Terry, Country Program Manager, Eastern Africa Grain Council, Tanzania
  • Ndiaye Ndiaga, Division Chief, Société d'Amánagement et d'Exploitation des Terres du Delta du Fleuve, Sénégal

The seminar will be moderated by Dr. David Picha, Director of LSU AgCenter International Programs. This is an exciting opportunity for faculty, staff, students and the community to meet with agricultural leaders from Africa.
