Seniors Enjoy the Let's Eat for the Health of It Curriculum

Seniors made positive dietary and exercise changes from the information learned in the 6 Nutrition Lessons taught by the LSU AgCenter Extension Nutrition Agent. Check out the video below!

The MYPLATE Bingo was a favorite learning tool for the Seniors. Each column represents a group on the MYPLATE. Whole Grains are in the orange column. Vegetables are in the green column. Fruit is in the red column. Dairy and Calcium rich foods are in the blue column. Protein foods from both the animal and plant groups are represented in the purple column. The Seniors had fun playing Bingo and learned about the foods on the MYPLATE, including portion sizes and unfamiliar foods, also.
