National 4-H Week

For over 100 years, 4‑H has inspired families, shaped careers, and impacted communities. On October 6th through 12th, we will celebrate the impact of 4‑H during National 4‑H Week. How can your club Celebrate? We encourage each club to do some type of community service during this week! Please send photos to your 4-H agent so that we can share all the wonderful things your club is doing!


The Allen Parish Fair!

We are excited to announce the 4-H office will be selling Ride Bracelets for $20.00! 4-H Junior Leaders will receive a portion of the sales. 4-H Summer Camp

June 12th

Calling all 4th-6th Grade Members! Camp Grant Walker is such an important part of being a 4-H Member. Our summer camp program continues to be a beloved tradition for the 4-H youth in Louisiana. We continue to offer every camper the opportunity to gain new experiences and independence, learn to appreciate the outdoors, form friendships, and have a chance to participate in educational tracks and recreational activities.


Chef Club

What is Chef Club? Chef Club is an after-school project club.4-H Members learn how to cook healthy, fun recipes! They also experience some form of physical activity! The club meetings are led by experienced Junior Leaders, Volunteers, and 4-H Agent.

We meet up at the 4-H office! Scheduled meeting dates are posted on the first page of this newsletter.

This year we will be learning about food science experiments that are super cool and delicious!

Does it cost to join Chef Club? Membership Fee:$25! Your membership fee will cover all chef club activities. The member will also receive a T-Shirt at Achievement Day! Please sign up by using the QR Code. Please join us October 13th, 9:00am at the 4-H office. You can come by, pay dues and see if this is the club for you. Parents feel free to come by and ask questions.

Shooting Sports

If you enjoy the outdoors and hunting, you’ll love the shooting sports project! This project covers firearm safety and teaches responsible handling and use. Get ready because this project is hands on. This year we are hoping to offer Archery, Shotgun, BB Gun, and Small-Bore Riffle. At this time only 10 participants will be able to participate in Shot Gun unless we have more Parent Volunteers. If you are interested in signing up for this program or as a volunteer, please attend our meeting on September 22nd at the 4-H Office. You may come by the office anytime from 3:00pm-6:00pm.This is a time for you to pay, ask questions, and receive additional information.

Junior Leader Mess Fest!

Attention 7th-12th Grade!

Join us and prepare to get messy! Invite a Friend!

Our annual Mess Fest will be held at the 4-H Office on September 19th, at 5:30pm-7:00pm!Please bring towel and clothes that you can get dirty in!

Allen Parish Junior Leaders are gearing up for a great year. Junior Leader members learn leadership skills, work on service-learning projects, serve as camp counselors and are offered many other leadership opportunities. This year our club will be focusing on Food Security. The officers of this club have decided they want to make healthy food accessible to all!

Membership Dues:$20 and includes a club t-shirt!
