Beauregard Parish Forestry Field Day
Saturday, April 2, 9 a.m. to 12 Noon,
The SW LA Forestry Association and the LSU AgCenter will be having a Forestry Field Day at the Tree Farm of Mr. David Daigle, who manages his land for longleaf pine and cattle. Mr. Daigle has hosted RFDTV, which reported on his positive land ethic. Mr. Daigle’s land will demonstrate the benefits of prescribed fire as a management tool. No admission will be charged for this event.
Directions: From Reeves, La., travel 2.8 miles east on US 190 to Snookie’s Road. Turn right (heading south) on Snookie’s road and go approx. 0.9 miles to Geeter Parker Road on the left.
Turn left on Geeter Parker Rd (heading east) and go 1/4 mile to fork in road. Take right fork (Brandy Lane) and go 200 yards to double metal gates. Sign on gate is St. Gabriel Land Company. Go through gates to the cowpen on the right.
