- Dr. Gillian Eggleston gives Keynote Presentation to the International Society of Sugar Cane Technologists (ISSCT)
On Monday, 1 October, Dr. Gillian Eggleston the Head of the Audubon Sugar Institute part of the LSU AgCenter gave the invited keynote presentation titled: “A Review of Sucrose Losses in Sugarcane Factories” to both the processing and engineering workshops of ISSCT in Cali, Columbia.Expensive sugar losses were the theme of the workshops and Gillian Eggleston has research on this topic, on and off, for 24 years. The workshops were attended by delegates from all over the world.
On Thursday 4 October, 2018, Dr. Eggleston visited the Director and scientists at Cenicana research station near Cali, to discuss ongoing and new research collaborations.A formal research agreement will be instituted next year between Cenicana and LSU AgCenter.
