- No GMO in Louisiana Sugar or Molasses
This letter was authored by the late Dr. Benjamin Legendre who was associated with the sugarcane breeding and selection programs in Louisiana for the last fifty years. It states that there are currently no GMO sugarcane varieties either being tested or grown commercially in Louisiana for sugar, molasses and/or ethanol.
