My research and extension program is focused on ornamental plant production parameters and resource efficiency. Specifically, I am interested in soilless substrate hydrology and physics and whole plant-water relations. I am also interested in ornamental plant abiotic stress physiology, nursery & landscape irrigation practices, and development of more sustainable ornamental horticulture systems. My goal is to help propel the science of ornamental horticulture in an effort to create a more environmentally and economically sustainable ornamental horticulture industry in Louisiana and across the nation.
