(08/25/23) BATON ROUGE, La. — The East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners Library Series will begin its fall presentations at the Main Library at 7711 Goodwood Blvd. on Thursday, Sept. 14.
The program, which begins at 6:30 p.m., is free and open to the public. Trees and shrubs will be the first presentation followed by one on school gardens.
Fall is the perfect time to plant in our area, and Master Gardener Kathy Morris will help you choose which trees and shrubs are ideal for your garden.
The second presentation will be on school gardens and why they are so important. Master Gardener Susan Teddlie will talk about the benefits of school gardening, how it fits in with the curriculum, who does all the work, how Master Gardeners assist the teachers and how you can make it a reality at your child or grandchild’s school.
