(03/10/23) HAMMOND, La. — The annual Florida Parishes Forestry Forum will be held March 17 at the Lynhaven Event Center located at 21660 Old Covington Highway.
LSU AgCenter extension forester Whitney Wallace said the meeting will last from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the theme for this year’s forum is post-hurricane forest management.
“The Florida Parishes Forestry Forum engages partnerships among the diverse landowners and professionals that play a collaborative roll in the management of our southeastern forest,” she said. “If you are a landowner, consultant or work in the forest industry in and around the Florida Parishes area, you do not want to miss this educational forum.”
This program is currently under review for educational credits with the Society of American Foresters and the Louisiana Forestry Association Master Logger program, she said.
Wallace said registration for the meeting is $25.
