(02/07/23) BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU AgCenter – MENDELU Food Symposium 3.0 will take place March 20 – 24, 2023 in Efferson Hall on the LSU campus.
This third year of international scientific dialogue jointly organized with LSU AgCenter strategic partner – Mendel University in the Czech Republic will feature Warsaw University of Life Sciences and will concentrate on Transatlantic Cooperation for Food System Adaptation and Resilience from Fields to Consumers, said Ivana Tregenza, associate director of the LSU AgCenter Global Network.
“This in-person symposium part with partial streamed content will feature workshops on food systems and supply security, trends in biotechnology, innovation in teaching, small operation with big footprint, new trends in food producing disciplines (includes farm production & food production), food systems and human nutrition,” she said.
It will also provide multiple opportunities for students of all levels to connect internationally and participate in the student presentation session, as well as the student poster session featured simultaneously in Louisiana, the Czech Republic and Poland.
In addition to live presentations, some of this content will be available simultaneously in a virtual form, she said.
