(01/05/23) HAMMOND, La. — You don’t want to miss the 2023 Pop-Up Camellia Sale being sponsored by the Tangipahoa Parish Master Gardener Association on Jan. 14 and 15 in Hammond.
On Saturday, the sale will be held at the Hammond Farmers & Artisans Market at 106 NW Railroad Ave. from 8 a.m. to noon. On Sunday, the sale will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at the LSU AgCenter Hammond Research Station at 21549 Old Covington Highway.
The annual Camellia Stroll at the station will again be cancelled this year, as the garden is still closed due to damage from Hurricane Ida.
A share of the proceeds from this plant sale will go toward garden restoration efforts.
