Birding at Burden scheduled for next three months

(09/28/21) BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens at Burden will present Birding at Burden Oct. 30, Nov. 27 and Dec. 18.

Birding at Burden is a monthly guided birding tour lead by one of three local birding specialists on the last Saturday of each month.

After an initial 7 a.m meeting at the Rural Life Museum, participants will spend three hours scouting birds on a few of the six birding loops at Burden.

Participants might want to bring binoculars, a cellphone, birding apps and field guides, sunscreen, insect repellant, appropriate outdoor footwear, weather-appropriate clothing and water to stay hydrated. The capacity for each excursion is 10 guests.

Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at https://bit.ly/BirdingatBurden2021. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are limited to 10 tickets per birding excursion.

The Botanic Gardens at Burden is located at 4560 Essen Lane in Baton Rouge.
