Master Gardeners to discuss Louisiana Super Plants, orchids at Central Branch Library Sept. 2

(08/19/21) BATON ROUGE, La. — The East Baton Rouge Master Gardener Association will present talks on Louisiana Super Plants and growing orchids on Thursday, Sept. 2, at the Central Branch Library at 11260 Joor Road.

The talks will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. They are free and open to the public. Seating is limited.

Louisiana Master Gardener Donna Montgomery will kick off the evening with Louisiana Super Plants.

Montgomery will share 2021’s reliable and beautiful plants selected for superior performance under Louisiana growing conditions. Each year the LSU AgCenter announces new plants deemed worthy to be Louisiana Super Plants; learn how they can dazzle your home.

Louisiana Master Gardener Terry Rehn will next present information on how to successfully grow orchids without greenhouses.
