(03/01/19) HAMMOND, La. — The 29th annual Florida Parishes Forestry Forum will be held on April 5 at the University Center at Southeastern Louisiana University.
The forum will begin with registration at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 3:30 p.m. The theme is “Future of Land Management: Making Decisions for Dollars and Sense.”
The forum, which is sponsored by the LSU AgCenter, will provide information on local and national trends, emerging markets, options for timbered land and invasive species such as the southern pine beetle.
“The Florida Parishes Forestry Forum engages partnerships among the diverse landowners and professionals that play a collaborative role in the management of our southeastern forests,” said LSU AgCenter area forester Whitney Wallace.
Registration is $20 per person before March 26 and $40 after. The fee includes lunch and refreshments.
