Thanksgiving Service Project

Written by Jefferson Parish Junior Leader Reporter Maia P.

On November 19, the members of the 4-H Junior Leaders Club, Maia P. and Elizabeth P., volunteered to make Thanksgiving themed craft kits for children in need at a local shelter. We were able to make 25 bags filled with craft activities in our time volunteering! During our time, we discussed more about the shelter and more ways to help them the best we can. We also talked about how much of an impact we make when doing these service projects. It gives them a sense of hope and joy during the holidays, and we hope to keep giving them that excitement in more service projects to come!
