Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP): The Commodity Supplemental Food Program is one of forty-three CSFP state programs nationwide and is currently the third largest CSFP in the country. CSFP provides Louisiana residents ages 60 and above with monthly food packages, donated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC):A supplemental nutrition program for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, infants, and children under the age of 5. WIC provides nutritious foods, nutrition information, breastfeeding promotion, breastfeeding support and referrals to other health and social services.
