4-H Camp

This year 4-H Camp (for current 4th-6th graders) will be coming to a town near you! St. Charles Parish will be partnering with Ascension, St. James, and East Baton Rouge parishes to host a 4-H Summer Day Camp on June 9, 2021 at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, La. The day camp will be a fun, one-day, in-person, and mostly outdoor experience. Snacks and meals will be provided. Transportation to and from camp will not be provided. All COVID guidelines will be followed, including wearing masks and social distancing. Limited space is available. Pre-registration is now open through April 15, 2021 on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact the 4-H Agent (Kali Zammit) at stcharles@agcenter.lsu.edu to receive an application. All applications along with the $10 deposit must be submitted to the 4-H Office by April 15, 2021.

4-H Day at the Capitol

This year we are inviting all 4-H members to join us for a Virtual 4-H Day at the Capitol, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Registered 4-H members will receive a free “Day at the Capitol in a Box” kit. To guarantee a free kit, complete the Virtual 4-H Day at the Capitol Registration Form by May 1, 2021. As the event gets closer, all streaming times and opportunities will be announced on our St. Charles Parish 4-H Facebook Page.

4-H Emerald Achievement Award – Award for members at least 15 years of age

Current 4-H members at least 15 years of age may apply for this award, which will be recognized for the virtual 4-H Week of Achievement. Contact 4-H Agent at kzammit@agcenter.lsu.edu for application. Application deadline: April 15, 2021.

4-H Golden Clover Award – Award for members 14 years of age or younger

Current 4-H members 14 years old and younger may apply for this award, which will be recognized for the virtual 4-H Week of Achievement. Contact 4-H Agent at kzammit@agcenter.lsu.edu for application. Application deadline: April 15, 2021.

4-H State Board Applications – LA 4-H State Board membership for current 8th-11th graders/See application for fees

4-H members (current 8th-11th graders) interested in applying to become a member of a Louisiana 4-H State Board should contact the 4-H Agent (Kali Zammit) at kzammit@agcenter.lsu.edu for an application and more information by April 15, 2021.

4-H University

4-H University is open to (8th-12th grade) 4-H members. This year 4-H University will offer some in-person and some virtual contest opportunities. Sign up by contacting 4-H Agent (Kali Zammit) at stcharles@agcenter.lsu.edu with your name, grade, school, e-mail address and phone number by April 15. By signing up, you will receive a link to join us for our virtual 4-H University Information Meeting scheduled for April 26, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. To learn more, visit the 4-H University Website.


4-H University – Hybrid adventure for current 8th-12th grade 4-H members/Fees to be determined

4-H University features state-wide contests and more for 8th-12th grade 4-H members. 4-H University will have a hybrid schedule (some face-to-face and some virtual contests). If interested in participating, contact the 4-H Office at 985-785-4473 or stcharles@agcenter.lsu.edu to provide your name, grade, school, e-mail address, and phone number by April 15, 2021.

4-H Week of Achievement

In lieu of our traditional 4-H Achievement Day, this year we will be hosting a 4-H Week of Achievement, which includes a virtual awards ceremony on April 26 – 30, 2021. 4-H members will be recognized for outstanding achievement throughout this year. Members are encouraged to check out our St. Charles Parish 4-H Facebook Page for all award recognition during this week. All awards will be distributed to schools following this week.
