The 4-H Award of Excellence is a prestigious Louisiana 4-H Award that gives recognition to junior 4-H Club members who have shown outstanding leadership ability in their club and in their parish. The object of the program is to encourage project growth. Recipients of the 4-H Award of Excellence can be proud of their contribution to their club and community. A club member may win the award only one time.

For St. Charles Parish, up to 2 members will be selected to receive the Louisiana 4-H Award of Excellence based on applications received. The basic requirements to apply for this prestigious award are as follows:

  • Must be 14 years of age or under by January 1 of the club year application is made.
  • Must have at least two (2) years of 4-H club work, including award year.
  • Must score at least 250 points on the application scorecard.
  • This award can only be won by the 4-H member one time.

Application Deadline – November 16, 2018: St. Charles Parish 4-H’ers wishing to apply for this award must submit their application to the St. Charles Parish LSU AgCenter (4-H) Office by the specified deadline.
