Welcome to a new 4-H club year!
The 4-H Youth Development program is open to students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Those members in K-3rd grade are considered 4-H Cloverbuds—who participate in age-appropriate, noncompetitive 4-H youth development programs. Those members in 4th-12th grade are considered 4-H members, who participate in age-appropriate programs and competitions.
How do you become a member of the St. Charles Parish 4-H program? First, contact your school to see if there is a 4-H club at your school. If so, contact the 4-H Club Leader for more information on joining. If there is not a 4-H club at your school, contact your 4-H Agent. The 4-H Agent for St. Charles Parish is Mrs. Kali Zammit, who can be contacted at 985-785-4473 or kzammit@agcenter.lsu.edu.
Whether you are a member of a school 4-H club or not, all St. Charles Parish students have the opportunity to join one or more 4-H Community (Project) Clubs. There are currently 5 Project Clubs in St. Charles Parish for the 2018-2019 school year: (See the “Project Club” section of our website to learn more about each club.)
In order to enroll in any 4-H club, you will need to complete a 4-H enrollment form to submit to your 4-H Club Leader. The 2018-2019 enrollment forms for St. Charles Parish 4-H are available here for download. Please click on the link below to download the enrollment form specific for your grade level.
In addition to completing an enrollment form, each club has minimal fees and possibly additional forms needed to join. Contact the 4-H Leader of the club if you have questions on specific requirements, fees, and forms needed to join.
If you are older than 12th grade and are interested in becoming a volunteer for the 4-H Youth Development program, contact the 4-H Agent.
If you have any questions regarding 4-H enrollment forms or how to join a specific 4-H club, please contact the St. Charles Parish LSU AgCenter (4-H) Office at 985-785-4473.
