Bienville 4-H’ers Learn Life Skills at Camp

Camping is one of the most valuable experiences a child can have. It’s a learning experience that helps boys and girls appreciate the outdoors, live together as a group, get along with others and appreciate people with different interests and backgrounds. Youth had a variety of educational tracks to choose from, Dramatic Arts, Outdoor Adventures, SET (Science, Engineering & Technology), Food and Fitness, Water Safety, Art and Wetlands. Youth can also choose to take swimming lessons and become hunter safety certified.

Bienville Parish had 62 participate at camp June 12-16, 2017 and had 53 campers, 4 counselors, 4 adult volunteers and 1 agent attend. If you have any questions about 4-H or this event, please call Elizabeth Bryan, Extension Agent at the LSU AgCenter in Bienville Parish, 318-263-7400.
