Dr. Fletcher currently serves as Assistant Director, LSU AgCenter  August 15, 2008 to present.
Dr. Bobby H. Fletcher, Jr. serves as Assistant Director of the LSU AgCenter. Dr. Fletcher coordinates over 150 cooperative endeavor agreements between the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service (LCES), parish governments, police juries, school boards and other local entities. The value of these agreements is currently over $3.5 Million annually.

Dr. Fletcher works directly with the LSU Vice President for Agriculture. In addition, Dr. Fletcher works to develop specialized urban LCES outreach in Orleans, Jefferson, and Caddo parishes. He is also working on specific national cooperative extension service initiatives and administrative coordination for disaster response.

Regional Director, Southeast Region, since July 1, 2010 to May 31, 2013. The Southeast Region consists of 16 parish Cooperative Extension Service offices as well as three Agricultural Experiment Research stations (Bob R. Jones Idlewild, Hammond and Southeast). There are currently 150 faculty and staff in the Southeast region. In addition, he maintains a twenty percent (20%) appointment as Assistant Director of the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service, working primarily with the"Local Support" initiative.
