- Cynthia Behrnes Prather
While serving as an Organizational Club Leader for St. Landry Parish Mrs. Prather encouraged her members to take advantage of all the opportunities 4-H provided. Mrs. Prather has also served as a livestock project club leader, President of the St. Landry Jr. Livestock Association, member of the Acadiana District Livestock Show Board, and Parish Foundation Board. Mrs. Prather has been recognized for her 4-H volunteer work within the St. Landry Parish 4-H program by being awarded the State 4-H Livestock Attorney General Leader Award. Her school club excelled each year achieving the end of the year parish 4-H Superior or Outstanding Club Award. Mrs. Prather served as a youth advisor to the Louisiana Jr. Cattleman’s Association and Louisiana Junior Brahman Association as well as Youth Committee Volunteer for American Brahman Breeders Association. She has also been recognized as Teacher of the Year and Principal of the Year.
