As a 4-H volunteer for Ringgold 4-H and Bienville Parish, and a K-12 educator, Mr. Williams has tirelessly served the 4-H program for 22 years, actively working to create a more diverse, inclusive, equitable, and accessible program for Louisiana youth. An ambassador for community engagement, Mr. Williams is dedicated to creating the next generation of leaders, globally knowledgeable citizens capable of positive community change. In his role as a club leader, he enables youth to find their voice by allowing them to run meetings and set the agenda. In the Ringgold Club, members researched community needs, and developed an annual plan for a youth-led service initiative, often targeting hunger, homelessness, and working with local food pantries and food banks in the Ringgold area. His efforts in the community have led him to be recognized at the National level as the Salute to Excellence Outstanding Lifetime Volunteer Award Winner. Mr. Williams was nominated for FFA- Black History Month Champion and also named a Louisiana Student Success Champion and Counselor of the Year.
