Mr. David Wilson began his 4-H involvement in 1967 and extended his time in 4-H by becoming a Livestock Project Leader in 1979. He has judged more than 75 livestock shows at the parish, district, and state levels and has provided funding for the LSU Junior Livestock Show as an Arena Sponsor. He has served on countless committees and advisory boards and has continually advocated for 4-H in whatever role he has served. He has trained over 30 state award winners at the 4-H Short Course and 4-H University events and has 4 trip-winning contestants. However, Mr. Wilson’s greatest satisfaction from his years of service to our programs stems form the ability to first impact, and then, witness the progression from impressionable youth to impactful adults in countless 4-H’ers over the years. Almost daily, he encounters adults from all walks of life that express their own appreciation for the leadership and guidance they received from volunteer leaders in 4-H communities. This is a true measurement of the lasting impact of 4-H within our society and we are so thankful to have Mr Wilson’s contribution. Thank you, Mr. Wilson
