Mr. Neal West serves as a role model for the youth involved in the shooting sports program. He serves as a Level I and II instructor for Shooting Sports, range officer at regional and state contests, is a member of the Louisiana State Shooting Sports Advisory Committee, and a member of the Franklin 4-H Foundation Committee. Mr. West is a mentor for 4-H youth and encourages them to achieve their highest potential and gives them the opportunity to succeed as athletes. Mr. West teaches sportsmanship, lessons in gun safety and proper handling of firearms, and self-confidence and respect. In addition to his teaching and coaching, Mr. West works with 4-H agents to hold fundraisers to help the youth and their families with expenses for National competitions. Mr. West began with his daughter as an instructor for air pistol, and since then, the program has seen a steady increase of youth wanting to participate in the program. He deeply cares for all participants and works to ensure everyone has a great experience. Thank you, Mr. West!
