Ms. Karen Leonards was born into a family with deep roots established in the 4-H program, which encouraged her to participate as a member, leader, and volunteer. She is always willing to help youth and encourages them to excel within the 4-H program. 35 years ago, Karen dedicated her time and energy to the Rayne Catholic Elementary 4-H Club and is a major contributor to its success. As an Acadia Parish club sponsor, she hosts officer clinics, community service activities, livestock judging, meat identification, poultry judging, bicycle, and tractor driving trainings and contests. She is a valuable livestock volunteer who has mentored new agents and is instrumental in implementing the Premier Exhibitor Competition. Ms. Leonards has served as an overnight chaperone and truly embodies the work ethic and dedication of a 4-H volunteer. We are so grateful that she continues to share her time, talents, and treasures with 4-H. She lives on her family farm with her husband, two sons, daughter-in-law and two grandsons with a vison and goal for her family to continue the family tradition by helping youth and promoting the 4-H program. Thank you for your service, Ms. Leonards!
