Betsy Jeansonne has long been a service and friend to the 4-H program and the Avoyelles LSU AgCenter. Through her many roles, such as ag educator, friend to the pollinators, and 4-H club leader, Betsy has continually approached 4-H as more than just a club; rather, a valuable addition to the education of youth. As a Louisiana Farm to School Coordinator, Betsy and her St. Mary 4-H garden were featured on the Louisiana Farm to School Program website and in multiple marketing pieces by the program's administrators. She was an early adopter of the program and has been successfully implementing the Seeds to Success program. Betsy continues to “make the best better” and understands the importance of ag education and promotes gardening, parliamentary procedure, pollinator habitats, and the Youth Wetlands Program, as well as serves as a 4-H Club Leader. Betsy considers the program a valuable addition to the education of youth in her charge, rather than just a club. She is an advocate for Cloverbuds to be implemented at the school for all eligible. She understands the importance of agriculture education and promotes many facets of agriculture. Thank you, Ms Jeansonne!
