Mr. Howard Cormier has long been serving the Louisiana 4-H program. He began his career serving as an Assistant County Agent in Lafourche Parish in 1973. Throughout the years, Mr. Cormier worked vigorously as a county agent and Parish Chair, and eventually became the Regional Equine Agent in the Southwest Region in 2008. He maintained winning 4-H programs in Lafourche and Vermilion Parishes and had consistent winners in 4-H U demonstrations, sheep shearing, forestry, small engines, tractor driving, and automotive engineering. He developed a large garden contest and a large winning livestock program in beef in halter and showmanship. He has been very active in serving the agricultural interests in Vermilion Parish and continues to rally support from the Vermilion Farm Bureau Board of Directors by serving as an office liaison and providing monthly reports. He currently serves as an Equine Leader and we are so thankful for his continued support of 4-H! Thank you, Mr. Cormier.
