Work Location: School of Renewable Natural Resources, LSU Agricultural Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Position Description: This is a non-tenure track position (100% research). Assistant Professor of Research position will support and engage in ongoing research activities at the Louisiana State University AgCenter, focusing on biomass, nanomaterials, composites, and bio-based coating technology.
Qualifications Requirements:
-Ph.D. in Material Science, Polymer Chemistry, or closely related discipline.
-Experience of working with cellulose nanomaterial, rheology, and coatings
-Evidence of quantitative skills and experience in technical writing
-Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated skills in the field of natural polymers and cellulose nanomaterials and their applications composites and coatings. Note the successful candidate will be housed in the School of Renewable Natural Resources (this position is not eligible for remote work) at Louisiana State University.
Salary and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
