(This is a non-tenure track position for one year. Continuation will be dependent on funding, job performance, and continued need for the appointment.)

Work Location: School of Renewable Natural Resources, LSU Agricultural Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Position Description: The post-doctoral position will support and engage in ongoing research collaborations involving scientists at Louisiana State University, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, and the United States Forest Service. Additionally, the candidate will engage in a long-term collaboration between researchers and graduate students at Louisiana State University and the University of Georgia focused on identifying population-level behavioral drivers of demography, reproductive ecology, and resource selection in fragmented environments.

Qualification Requirements: Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology, Ecology, Biology, or closely related discipline. Experience working with geospatial data, Evidence of quantitative skills and programming experience (R/S/Python/JAGS). Proven ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team

Preference will be given to candidates with a familiarity with analysis of mark-recapture and spatially-explicit data analysis, expertise in GIS, demonstrated proficiency in spatial modeling and quantitative programming, a keen interest in upland wildlife population dynamics, and interest in engagement with state wildlife agencies. Note the successful candidate will be housed in the School of Renewable Natural Resources (this position is not eligible for remote work) at Louisiana State University.

Salary and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
