(This is a grant- funded, non-tenure track position. Continuation will be dependent on funding, job performance, and continued need for the appointment.)
Work Location: Department of Entomology, Louisiana State University Agricultural Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Position Description: Responsibility of working under the direction of the project leader doing research on corn and small grain insect pest management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Corn and Small Grain Insect Research Lab in the Department of Entomology, field sampling, maintaining insect colonies, bioassays, and conducting laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments.
Qualification Requirements: A master’s degree or above in Entomology or a closely related field with experience in field crop IPM is required. Experience in transgenic crop technology, insecticide resistance management, experimental design, and biostatistics is preferred.
