Research at the LSU AgCenter has been instrumental in improving agricultural practices, increasing productivity, and promoting environmental stewardship. Our research has led to the development of new crop varieties that are more resistant to pests and diseases, resulting in increased yields for farmers. We have also worked with livestock producers to develop more efficient feeding and management practices, leading to higher quality meat and dairy products. Our research has also helped farmers to better manage their land and water resources, leading to improved environmental outcomes and long-term sustainability.
We are proud of the impact our research has had on Louisiana communities, but we recognize that there is still much work to be done. Our team is committed to continued innovation and collaboration with our stakeholders and partners to ensure that our research continues to meet the evolving needs of Louisiana's agricultural and food systems.
