Charles and Rose Broussard Internship

Charles and Rose Broussardjpg

The children of Charles and Rose Broussard have established this award to honor their parents’ hard work and dedication to agriculture and conservation. Mr. Broussard was a ninth-generation cattlemen, rancher, and farmer whose influence and contributions to these industries during his entire adult life were immeasurable. Mrs. Broussard was also devoted to promoting agriculture and offered her support through her way of giving and living life to the fullest. This award is designated to offer a student practical experience with agriculture research through a paid internship opportunity with one of three research stations within the LSU AgCenter System, the H. Rouse Caffey Rice Research Station, the Iberia Research Station, or the Dean Lee Research Station. The selected applicant must be a part-time or full-time student. The internship is available to both high school and college students. Internships will be primarily focused on the summer, but some flexibility exists for alternative time periods. Preference will be given for those students from Vermilion Parish.
