Each year the Hill Farm hosts the Louisiana Producer A.I. School. This course is highly popular and usually has a waiting list for enrollment. In addition to the A.I. School, a new Pregnancy Determination Clinic is being added to the calendar. More information on both of these programs can be found here.
The 2021 Northwest Region Beef and Forage Field Day was held at the Hill Farm Research Station on April 29. Producers were able to receive a cattle market update, information on cattle stocking rates, an update on beef cattle extension projects at the Hill Farm, plot results focused on crabgrass control in Bermudagrass hay fields, overseeding pastures to improve soil health, integrating clovers in pastures, and cattle temperament and docility information. Popular amongst producers, a tradeshow was held during the Field Day as well.
