Demonstration Gardens

The Dean Lee Research and Extension Center demonstration gardens were designed and installed in late winter2019. From late winter into early spring, the Central Region horticulture team members collaborated with Cenla Master Gardener volunteers and research station personnel to install the native plant and pollinator habitat on the north side of the main office building. The second phase of the landscape demonstration gardens at Dean Lee focused on installing Louisiana Super Plants. Demonstration gardens at the research station are highlighted annually during the spring and summer horticulture seminars, featured in the quarterly edition of Horticulture Hints, and introduced in horticulture videos.
