Development and application of assisted reproductive technologies in livestock and exotic species. Technologies include artificial insemination, embryo transfer, micro-manipulation and cryopreservation for domestic livestock and exotic species improvement, as well as for various biomedical applications.
Accredited by the Association for the Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care (AAALAC International); home to the Embryo Biotechnology Laboratory, which is internationally known for its in-vitro fertilization and biotechnology research. The Livestock Entomology Laboratory is also located on this station.
1,000 acres in pasture for cattle, horses and goats and 200 acres in forest.
On the east side of Louisiana Highway 30 approximately 11 miles south of the LSU A&M campus in Baton Rouge and 9 miles north of the St. Gabriel/Gonzales I-10 exit.
