West Carroll Parish is in the northeast section of Louisiana, joining Arkansas on the north, East Carroll Parish on the east, Richland Parish on the south and Morehouse Parish on the West. About 95% of the acreage is agricultural land, crop land, and pasture. West Carroll is home to Poverty Point UNESCO World Heritage Site, which features prehistoric Indian mounds that date between 700 and 1800 B.C.
