2012-2013 Vermilion 4-H Contest Results

Shannan Waits, Waits, Hilton

The 4-H motto is "Learn By Doing." 4-H'ers can become involved in a variety of hands-on projects by competing in contests aligned with the National 4-H Mission Mandates (Science, Engineering and Technology; Healthy Living; and Citizenship). Members compete against peers in tests of knowledge and skills on the parish, district and state levels. As the 4-H members prepare for the contests, they can learn to master skills in areas such as: computers, electricity, the environment, photography, livestock, citizenship, pets and keeping fit. They learn teamwork and leadership skills, too.

The Vermilion Parish 4-H program holds a variety of contests during the school year. Results for contests held from September 2012 through August 2013 can be found on this page by clicking on the contest name below. This page will be updated as new contests are held. If you have any questions concerning the attached results, call the 4-H office at 337-898-4335.
