4-H Shooting Sports Program

The 4-H shooting sports program in Terrebonne Parish is part of the State and National Outdoor Skills program. The 4-H Shooting Sports program is an educational activity to teach firearm safety to 4-H youth and to help them improve their marksmanship and help them enjoy outdoor activities. It uses positive learning and interaction with youth and adult role models. The 4-H Shooting Sports program is open to 4-H'ers in the 4th-12th grades. The Terrebonne Parish program consists of two disciplines (areas) for youth: Shotgun and Archery.

The program is taught by certified volunteer instructors who have completed intense training. The instructors meet with the youth at least once a week beginning in January through April.

The mission of the Terrebonne 4-H Shooting Sports Program is to assist youth in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills, and forming attitudes so that they may become self-directing, productive, and contributing members of society.

Congratulations Trey Beattie, Kade Breaux, Thomas Callais, Ross Carroll, Connor Chaisson, Thad Cornes, Ian Duplantis, Katie Faulk, Caleb Garner, Jacob Garner, Gaven Guidry, Brice Pellegrin, Preston Perez, Jayson Ray, Wayne Ray, Joshua Smith, Hunter Soudelier, Jeremy Thibodeaux.
