2010 4-H Food Festival

Youthful chefs practiced their food preparation and presentation skills for the annual St. Landry Parish 4-H Food Festival Day held at St. Ignatius Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010.  The 4-H members prepared special dishes at home to be judged in the different food exhibit contests.  Contestants also participated in a Consumer Foods Judging Contest.

While exhibits were being judged, participants were able to participate in a 4-H Food and Nutrition Workshop presented by Jennifer Hebert, 4-H Volunteer Leader.  Judges for this activity included:  Blaine Benoit, Theresa Bizette, Vincent Deshotel, Margaret Frey, Donyale Hanchett, Sam Hanchett, Yvonne Normand, Gloria Nye, Brooke Prather and Melissa Rideau.
